We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.About the programmeITM (Immediate Transition Model)The ITM Provides immediate time-limited placements (up to 13 weeks) where all other suitable options have been exhausted.




Where children and young people experience a home-like environment and are cared for by a small capable and nurturing care team.Placements are generally 1:1 and can be any age.The Programme supports a step-down approach for children and young people in enter a permanent less intrusive placement optionAbout the roleWe are currently seeking permanent part time staff and a pool of casual staff who will provide care support and guidance for children and young person in line with the model aboveThe successful candidate will be part of a team that will be on a largely weekend rotating roster.
Hours of work are flexible and may include some sleep oversEssential skills/knowledgeCompleted or working towards Cert IV in youth work or similar fieldPrepared to work flexible working hours including, weekends and sleep oversCurrent unrestricted driver's licenceCurrent First Aid CertificateCurrent Working with Children's CheckExperience in Out of Home CareTCI or trauma informed trainingAbility to work as a part of a team and independentlyRemunerationSalary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award **** at SCHADS Level 320 August ****
