Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Soil Technician or Soil Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the geotechnical and construction material testing industry. As a Trainee Soil Technician or Soil Technician, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills in soil sampling, testing, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with soil sampling and concrete testing in both field and laboratory environments.
Conduct basic laboratory tests on soil, aggregate, and other construction materials.
Accurately record and report test results.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Support senior technicians and engineers in various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school certificate or equivalent.
Certificate 3 in Construction Materials Testing (preferable) or willing to obtain.
Strong interest in geotechnics, construction, or related fields.
Basic understanding of mathematics and science.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and take on current challenges.
Physical ability to perform fieldwork, including lifting and carrying equipment.
Valid manual driver's license (must have).
