Working to reduce demand on Emergency Departments, the UCC's are a GP led multi-disciplinary service where clients with urgent but non-life threatening conditions such as mild infections, minor fractures and minor burns can receive treatment outside of the emergency department.
Patient referrals will be via the MBPH Emergency Department, Ambulance Victoria (AV), Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED), Nurse-on-Call, and walk-ins.The Customer Service role will participate in a rotating roster which will include evening work and weekend work, both of which will also attract penalty rates.Reporting to the Urgent Care Clinic Practice Manager, the Customer Service Officer will be responsible for supporting the nurses and GP's operating within the UCC as well as creating a welcoming environment for patients, effectively managing UCC administrative inquiries and ensuring patient appointments are created and communicated in a timely manner.
This position includes a range of administrative functions, including but not limited to; telephone operations, electronic client data base entry and maintenance, client records administration and compliance, clinician support and other administrative functions associated with the efficient operation of SCHS,
