MyGP Hub | Tamworth, NSWMyGP Hub is seeking an experienced medical receptionist or medical administration professional to join our team across our two Tamworth practices.This position is intended for someone with demonstrated, recent medical-practice experience who can confidently manage reception, patient administration and billing responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.We operate between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday to Sunday, across The Hub in West Tamworth and MyGP Hub at Tamworth Square.About the roleYou will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting general practitioners, nurses, allied-health professionals and visiting specialists.Our core systems are:Best Practice PremierHotDocTyroYou will be expected to work independently within established procedures, identify when escalation is required and contribute to the accuracy and reliability of our administration systems.Key responsibilitiesThe role includes:Managing patient arrivals, departures and appointment enquiriesAnswering busy incoming telephone lines promptly and professionallyManaging complex bookings, cancellations and online appointmentsMaintaining accurate patient demographics and records in Best Practice PremierManaging HotDoc bookings, communications and patient requestsProcessing EFTPOS payments and Medicare claims through TyroProcessing Medicare, private, WorkCover and other patient accountsIdentifying and appropriately escalating rejected or incorrect claimsManaging referrals, correspondence, record requests and administrative tasksSupporting doctors, nurses and visiting healthcare providersMaintaining patient privacy and confidentialityResponding professionally to complaints or distressed patientsCompleting opening,



closing and daily reception responsibilitiesCommunicating clear handovers and following outstanding matters through to completionSupporting less-experienced administration team members when requiredWorking across both MyGP Hub locationsEssential experience and capabilitiesApplicants must have:Demonstrated experience in medical reception or medical-practice administrationA practical understanding of patient privacy and confidentialityExperience managing appointments, telephone calls and competing prioritiesStrong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skillsConfidence processing patient accounts and paymentsAn understanding of professional boundaries and when clinical matters must be escalatedThe ability to follow established procedures while using sound judgementA reliable, accountable and team-focused approachThe ability to work across both Tamworth locationsExperience with Best Practice Premier is strongly preferred.Experience with HotDoc, Tyro, Medicare billing, WorkCover accounts, medical terminology or medical-record administration will be highly regarded.Hours and availabilityCasual shifts may be rostered between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.Applicants should be available for a reasonable mix of:Weekday shiftsEvening shiftsSaturday and Sunday shiftsApplicants are not expected to be available for every operating hour.
