Job DescriptionCentral Beauty Nails Mt Barker Pty Ltd Key Responsibilities Discuss client needs, analyse the condition of the nails and skin of the hands and feet, and advise on suitable treatments, nail care, skin care and aftercare.
Provide specialised hand and foot treatments, including exfoliation, moisturising, cuticle care, foot scrubs and gentle hand and foot massage techniques.
Consult with clients on suitable make-up styles, colour coordination and application techniques to complement their selected nail designs, personal preferences and overall appearance.
Perform a full range of manicure and pedicure treatments, including nail cutting, shaping, buffing, cuticle care and polish preparation.
Apply and maintain various artificial nail and enhancement systems, including acrylic full sets and refills, SNS or dipping powder, builder gel in a bottle or jar, Shellac or gel polish, and Gel-X or press-on extensions.
Provide decorative nail art and specialised finishes, including French tips, ombre designs, hand-drawn artwork, chrome, cat-eye effects, and seasonal or customised designs.
Perform nail repairs and maintenance, including repairing individual nails, changing nail shapes, removing SNS, acrylic and Shellac safely, and preparing nails for reapplication.
Deliver specialised hand and foot spa treatments, including spa pedicures, deluxe pedicures, French pedicures and Shellac upgrades.
Conduct eyelash and eyebrow tinting services and perform eyebrow shaping in accordance with individual client preferences.
Treat unwanted hair through waxing services, including eyebrow, facial, arm, leg and body waxing.
Evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of nail care, beauty treatment processes and cosmetic products, and remain informed about current industry techniques and trends.
Receive bookings,



arrange appointments and maintain accurate client treatment records to support an efficient and professional customer experience.
Provide skilled advice on nail care, hand and foot skin care, suitable treatments and aftercare products, including services appropriate for children and teenagers.
Recommend, promote and sell suitable cosmetic, nail care and aftercare products used in connection with treatments.
Maintain the hygiene and sanitisation of tools, equipment, treatment areas and workstations in accordance with workplace health, safety and infection-control requirements.
Qualifications & Skills and Experience required Certificate III or higher in Beauty Therapy or Nail Technology (or equivalent qualification and experience).
1 to 3 years of recent, relevant experience in nail services within a salon environment.
Excellent skills across nail enhancement systems (acrylic, SNS, builder gel, Shellac, Gel-X) with strong attention to detail in nail art and shaping.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, well-presented, and passionate about the beauty industry.
