Practice Nurse Responsibilities
Clinical Nursing Duties
Childhood, flu and travelimmunisations
Wound care and assistance withminor procedures
ECG, Holter monitoring, Spirometry and Audiometry
Ear syringing,iron infusionsand venesection




Patient triage and clinical assessments
Infection control and equipment sterilisation
Chronic Disease & Preventative Health
Chronic Disease Management (CDM) support
Care Plans, Health Assessments and patient education
Managing recalls and results usingHotDocs
Essential Criteria
CurrentAHPRA Registered Nurse (RN)registration
CurrentCPR, First Aid & Immunisation Certificate
Experience or interest ingeneral practice nursing
Strong communication, organisation and time‐management skills
Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge ofBest Practice software(or similar GP systems) preferred but not mandatory
Australian permanent residency or citizenship
Desirable (Not Essential)
Previous experience as aPractice NurseorPrimary Care Nurse
Familiarity with GP accreditation standards
