Job Description
HCN CIVILS PTY LTD HCN Civils is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, manage and deliver telecommunications network infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion.
You will combine engineering oversight, project governance and stakeholder coordination to deliver safe, timely, cost-controlled and technically compliant outcomes in accordance with Australian Standards, NBN requirements and client specifications.
Perks Company Car Task & responsibilities Plan, coordinate and manage telecommunications network infrastructure projects, ensuring engineering, operational and contractual requirements are achieved.
Review and interpret telecommunications network designs, engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Oversee the installation, integration, testing and commissioning of fibre optic, HFC and other telecommunications network infrastructure in accordance with engineering standards and NBN technical requirements.
Evaluate network performance and implement engineering solutions to improve network reliability, efficiency, capacity and operational performance.
Develop project schedules, allocate engineering resources and coordinate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
Monitor project progress, budgets, quality and project risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide engineering leadership and technical guidance to Telecommunications Network Planners, Field Engineers, Electrical Technicians and project teams throughout all stages of project delivery.
Review commissioning reports, testing results,
as-built documentation and engineering records to verify compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Liaise with clients, telecommunications carriers, Tier 1 contractors, utility providers, consultants and government authorities regarding engineering, construction and project delivery matters.
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, telecommunications legislation, NBN technical requirements, Work Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, project delivery methodologies, network performance and operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare project reports, technical documentation and progress updates for management and project stakeholders.
Qualification & experience Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Telecommunications Engineering or similar.
Minimum three years of relevant experience in telecommunications network engineering and project delivery.
Advanced knowledge of telecommunications network engineering principles.
Strong understanding of fibre optic, HFC, fixed-line and telecommunications infrastructure.
Extensive experience managing telecommunications infrastructure projects.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, network schematics and technical specifications.
Excellent project planning and engineering coordination skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and engineering problem-solving abilities.
High-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven leadership and team management capability.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Commitment to engineering excellence, quality assurance and workplace safety.
