We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanics / Light vehicle mechanics to join our team at Diesel Repairs Professionals Pty Ltd in Mildura, Victoria. As a Diesel Mechanic / light vehicle mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy diesel equipment, light diesel equipment and components associated in a full-time position.
What you'll be doing
Diagnose and repair a variety of machines, including those used in earthmoving, agriculture and road transport.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, component replacements and component rebuilds
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
Ensure a safe and clean work environment
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or a related field (light vehicle may be accepted)
3rd year+ apprentices with experience in light or heavy vehicles
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or light vehicle technician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a team and independently
A valid driver's licence
Honest and reliable
