Job Description
The opportunity
IFYS is seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Implementation Lead, to deliver the implementation of the Payroll and Time & Attendance systems.
Working closely with key internal stakeholders and system vendors, this role oversees project delivery, change management, testing, training, and post-implementation optimisation to achieve a successful implementation.

Key responsibilities
Manage the successful implementation of Payroll and Time & Attendance systems within the required timelines, budget, and quality standards
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to identify business requirements, map current processes, and design future payroll and workforce management solutions
Support the configuration of payroll rules, awards, classifications, allowances, leave provisions, timesheets, and workforce management settings
Ensure all payroll processes and system configurations comply with relevant legislation, Award requirements, Fair Work obligations, taxation requirements, superannuation regulations, and organisational requirements
Coordinate the extraction, cleansing, validation, and migration of data, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to validate payroll accuracy and system functionality
Build effective relationships with all stakeholders
Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and communication plans
Identify, assess, and mitigate implementation risks and provide improvement recommendations
Provide implementation stabilisation support following go-live, monitor system performance, resolve payroll-related issues, and identify optimisation opportunities
Requirements of the role
Demonstrated experience leading payroll system implementations
Experience delivering end-to-end payroll processing in a complex environment
Solid stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across HR, Finance, and IT
Proven project management and change management capabilities
Experience with ELMO and Definitiv is highly desirable
Experience in payroll data migration, testing, and system validation
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, SCHADS award, and legislative requirements
High-level analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful
Valid Queensland Driver's Licence with no restrictions
Queensland Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
Ability to provide two references from recent employers (including your current line manager)
National Crime Check (a new check will be completed through IFYS systems)
