FairWind Group are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Electrical Specialist to work closely with our specialised teams throughout Australia and Asia.
This is an exciting role where you will ensure electrical compliance across the APAC region, work in amongst global electrical teams to ensure alignment and compliance to FairWind electrical initiatives.
As the successful candidate you will hold applicable licenses in Australia, and ensure timely adherence to local legislation.
Among your tasks you will conduct audits, training and recommendations to local electrical teams across the APAC region.
You will also be the the point of escalation for electrical matters for all supervisors, installation coordinators and PMs across APAC
Responsibilities
Responsible for the electrical works and compliance across APAC
Responsible for safe & timely execution of global electrical programs
Participate in a site inspection/approval
Participate in the project's planning, in conjunction with PM, installation coordination (IC) and site manager (SM). In conjunction with leading hand coordinator front line management, supervision and mentoring of ECC teams
Review of competency of new Technicians against global competency Model
Develop team to improve capability and quality aligned to Global Competency Model
Support ECC supervision and leaders develop in their career pathway
Coordinate with the Leading Hand (LH) for every day's work for the electrical crew, in conjunction with IC and site manager (SM). In conjunction with LH planning all site works according to the given schedule and resources
Budget Management and reporting – identifying opportunities to increase project margin
Keeping costs within budget - reporting the extra costs and time consumption to PM
Participate in meetings – site, project, resource, toolbox and planning
Solve all relevant issues and problems, connected to electrical operations
Secure/give the highest level of quality
Continually improving installation hours for ECC
Oversee ESV requirements for site
Oversee COES compliance for site
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role within industry at supervisor level
ESV Technical License (REC)
Front line leadership training, Project management qualification, or other related business qualification
Knowledge of electrical construction standards
Experience with AU/NZ electrical standards
Very good knowledge and understanding of industry demands
Good practical knowledge of HSE and Quality standards
Practical Project planning and management of construction/ installation projects, incl. budgeting and scheduling
Ability to effectively manage workforce
High level of communication and ability to understand levels of business

Ability to build trust and motivate teams
