An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurses to undertake apost graduate program in Neuroscience nursing.
This program, theGraduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (Neuroscience), will be delivered in collaboration with our university partner, University of Tasmania.
Throughout the duration of the postgraduate program, you will be employed in one of the two neuroscience wards at Austin Health, with a planned rotation to the other neuroscience clinical area.
A model of blended learning is utilised with both theoretical and clinical requirements whilst you are working in the Neuroscience clinical environment.
Austin Health follows a best practice clinical learning environment philosophy and delivers education using contemporary teaching modalities with an emphasis on experiential learning.
This comprehensive program, overseen by our dedicated education team, integrates both clinical and practical components.
As a Post Graduate Nurse in the neuroscience workplace, a regular day will see you:
Prioritise and deliver care within scope of practice and according to nursing care plan
Utilise patient assessment information to adjust the care plan to meet health care needs
Increase scope of practice byparticipatingin core competencies relevant to specialty practice
Identifygaps in own learning through self-reflection and feedback and actively seek out learning opportunities
Achieves andmaintainthe academic and clinical standards set within the post graduate clinical program course structure and overseen by the management and education teams

You will be someone with excellent communication,collaborationand interpersonal skills, with a commitment to self-development and education.You'llenjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and have a commitment to quality, best practice, and environmental safety.
You'llfurther have:
Registered Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
At leasttwoyear's acute nursing experience
