Business Services & Tax Senior Manager
to join a highly regarded Sydney-based accounting and advisory firm.
With a team of almost 100 professionals, this established practice continues to experience steady growth and has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality accounting, tax and business advisory services to SMEs, privately owned businesses and ultra-wealthy family groups.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager to step into a key leadership role, working closely with the Directors while managing a diverse portfolio of quality clients and mentoring a talented team.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses and family groups, providing strategic tax and business advice while leading a team of accountants and helping drive the continued growth of the practice.
This role offers an excellent balance of compliance, advisory, leadership and client relationship management, making it ideal for someone looking to further develop their career towards Director and Partner level.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse portfolio of SME, private business and family group clients
Deliver high-quality tax, business advisory and commercial consulting services
Review financial statements, income tax returns and complex compliance work
Advise clients on business structuring, tax planning and growth strategies
Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants
Manage workflow, team performance and client deadlines
Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to expand advisory services
Collaborate with specialist Tax and Audit teams on complex client engagements
Support the Directors with practice growth, business development and strategic initiatives
About You
We're seeking an experienced Business Services & Tax Senior Manager with a strong background in Australian public practice.
You'll ideally possess:
CA or CPA qualification
Extensive Business Services & Tax experience within an Australian accounting firm
Strong technical expertise across tax compliance and business advisory
Experience managing complex SME, family groups and multi-entity client structures
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
Excellent communication skills and commercial acumen
A genuine passion for building long-term client relationships
