Newlands Group is seeking an experienced
Civil Draftsperson
to join our growing team based in Toowoomba. Working closely with our engineers, project managers and construction teams, you will play a key role in the preparation of detailed civil construction drawings and documentation across a range of infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys seeing their designs transition from concept through to construction. You'll work on diverse projects across roads, subdivisions, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure while being part of a cooperative and experienced team that values practical solutions and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed civil design drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Develop designs and documentation for roads, subdivisions, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure projects
Produce construction drawings, as-constructed drawings and technical documentation
Assist with design calculations and quantities where required
Review design information and identify drafting discrepancies or clashes
Liaise with engineers, project managers, surveyors and construction personnel to ensure design intent is accurately reflected
Amend and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain drafting standards,



drawing registers and project documentation
Assist with the preparation of tender and project delivery documentation
About You
Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Design, Drafting or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience in a civil drafting role
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience preparing drawings for subdivisions, roads and underground services
Strong understanding of civil design principles, construction methodology and local authority requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Current driver's licence
