Job Description
This role delivers swim programs in line with Central Coast Council's Learn to Swim Program guidelines and lesson plans, supporting participants to develop their skills safely and confidently. You will prepare lessons and equipment, monitor participant progress, maintain active supervision during classes and provide a positive customer experience for families, program participants and facility users. Working collaboratively with the Crew Leader Swim Programs and the wider Leisure and Pools team, you will help strengthen water safety outcomes across the Central Coast community.
Applicant Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current AUSTSWIM qualification in teaching swimming and water safety, Swim Australia Teacher qualification, swim coaching qualification or equivalent.
Current Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate (HLTAID009).
Working with Children Check Clearance Number or Application Number, with date of birth supplied for verification purposes.
Demonstrated experience delivering high quality swim programs across different levels or previous experience coaching swimming.
A robust customer service focus, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with participants, families, staff and members of the public.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, adapt to change and work across multiple Council locations as required.
Offer Details
The commencing salary for this position is up to $***** per hour. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $***** per hour on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
We have two (2) permanent part-time roles available, each working 15 hours per week.
These roles is located at the Council's Toukley Aquatic Centre but may be required to work across other Central Coast Council Leisure Centres.
