This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving system-wide improvement across NSW Health through the Whole of Health Program.
The Whole of Health Program (WOHP) supports Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks to improve access to care through performance support, health reforms and programs to meet health system performance measures and deliver better outcomes for patients across the state.
The Senior Project Officer Knowledge and Capability, Whole of Health Program (WOHP) provides clinically informed leadership, project management and improvement expertise to support system wide performance and patient centred outcomes across NSW Health.
The role applies professional clinical judgement and contemporary evidence to the design, development, implementation and evaluation of innovative, evidence based models of care, with a strong focus on patient flow, access and whole of system improvement.
Through structured capability building, knowledge sharing and collaborative networks, the position empowers health leaders and improvement managers to connect, share insights and support one another in driving continuous improvement.

and build strong networks that support knowledge sharing and capability uplift.
This role is ideal for a motivated and strategic thinker who thrives in a agile environment and is passionate about improving patient‐centred outcomes at scale.
Lead the design and delivery of clinically informed knowledge sharing and capability‐building initiatives to support system‐wide improvement in patient flow, access, and quality outcomes.
Apply clinical expertise to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and models of care aligned with NSW Health priorities.
Manage end‐to‐end project delivery, including planning, implementation, reporting, and evaluation, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, executives, and system partners to support collaboration, informed decision‐making, and issue resolution.
Develop policies and guidelines to support knowledge uplift and capability development for the WOHP leads.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
Demonstrated substantial experience managing all stages of the project lifecycle (planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) within complex hospital or system wide healthcare environments.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a recognised clinical discipline, with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and demonstrated ability to apply clinical judgement to system level roles and initiatives.




Proven experience in contributing to the design and implementation of evidence‐based models of care, policies or improvement initiatives that enhance patient flow, access, safety and quality outcomes.
Highly developed analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and synthesise complex clinical, operational, and performance data to inform evidence‐based decision‐making
Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships with clinicians, executives, and cross‐sector partners.
