Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Claims Officer to join our Claims team based in Tullamarine HQ on a full time basis.
This role will be responsible for handling the backend administrative duties and proactively contacting customers regarding damagers.
The successful candidate will also be in charge of keeping accurate and complete file records for all customers which includes prepping files for recover.
Key duties and responsibilities
Investigating vehicle damage cases, advise probable outcome and communicate to customer and internal departments
Gathering and sorting relevant information in order to raise and process new claims
Preparing paperwork for refund/charge transactions or outsource recovery allocation
Dealing with telephone inquiries regarding claims and provide information as requested
Maintaining accurate file notes surrounding financial transactions and case development
Responding to email queries
Proactively resolve any issues that may inhibit the flow of work
Developing a sound knowledge or Europcar Rental Terms and Conditions
Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with company guidelines
To be considered, you should possess:
Strong customer service skills and being able maintain a calm and qualified approach
Exceptional level of communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a rapid paced environment and under pressure to meet deadlines
Possesses problem-solving skills
Computer literate is highly desirable
Proven ability to work in a team environment

Historical background
At the end of the 19th century, the car was a luxury reserved for the elite, but interested everyone, attracting crowds: in ****, the first car show was held in Paris.
Car rental will see the light a few years later, across the Atlantic, but its development will be stopped by the first and then by the Second World Wars.
In the aftermath of the war, a Parisian entrepreneur revived the idea: "If you can't afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?".
His name was Raoul-Louis Mattei and in ****, he created "L'Abonnement Automobile": a company that would later become the Compagnie Internationale Europcars, then Europcar.
Its headquarters, located 11 rue du Champ de Mars also included a rental agency.
The company's success was rapid, as car rental responded to a real need.
In ****, l'Abonnement Automobile was the first company for car rental without a driver and its fleet counted ***** CV.
Now, the Europcar Mobility Group has over 200,000 vehicles on average in its fleet and serves 5 million customers in more than 140 countries.
