A well-establishedvolume residential developer-builder with a strong pipeline of projects across Sydney is looking for an experienced
Senior Estimator
to join its growing team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll be responsible for
both estimating and procurement
, working across the full pre-construction process from project pricing through to subcontractor engagement and procurement.
You'll work closely with senior management, project teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately priced and competitively procured.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates, budgets and cost plans for residential projects
Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and scopes
Complete quantity take-offs and pricing of trade packages
Manage subcontractor tendering and procurement
Obtain, assess and negotiate subcontractor quotations
Compare pricing and recommend subcontractors for appointment




Develop and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships
Identify cost-saving opportunities and undertake value engineering
Ensure projects are procured within budget and programme
Coordinate the transition from estimating/procurement into construction
About You
Strong residential construction experience, ideally within a builder or developer-builder
Hands-on experience across
both estimating and procurement
Strong understanding of subcontractor packages, pricing and construction costs
Solid attention to detail and commercial awareness
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
