I'm currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join the Heathcote Road Upgrade, a busy civil construction project in Sydney.
This is an excellent chance for an experienced civil construction professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Leading Hand, ideally across roads and civil projects.
The Role
Heathcote Road Upgrade project in Sydney
Monday to Friday initially
Saturday work as project progresses
Immediate start
$***** per hour + penalties
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate small teams of labourers and machinery operators
Allocate daily tasks and manage work priorities
Work closely with Supervisors and Project Managers
Read and interpret daily work plans
Complete and submit daily timesheets and work sheets
Liaise with clients and site personnel
Maintain strong HSE standards across the site
Coordinate labour and machinery to ensure daily targets are achieved
Ensure work is completed safely,



efficiently and to project requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Leading Hand
Strong background in civil construction
Ideally, previous experience working on roads projects
Sound understanding of HSE and site safety requirements
Knowledge of traffic management
Ability to read and interpret day plans and work schedules
Proven experience allocating work and managing small teams
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively with Supervisors, Project Managers and clients
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
Additional information
$50 per hour + penalties
Long term on-going position with a large civil contractor
10 hour days Monday - Friday
