About therole:
If successful, youwill work collaboratively as part of the Humanitarian SettlementProgram Team to provide high level case management, information andreferral services to HSP clients. The Senior Case Manager alsoprovides informal supervision and leadership with the care team toother case managers, client support workers and community guides inthe team and identifies opportunities for service innovation. TheSenior Case Manager works closely with the Team LeaderHSP.
To be considered for thisrole, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selectioncriteria:
Degree in Social Work,Psychology, Applied Social Services,



Counselling or otherrelevant allied health field; OR Diploma in CommunityServices (Case Management), AND at least 2 years'experience working from a case management model withvulnerable and complex cases
Effective interpersonal,cross cultural communication and client advocacy skills andthe ability to liaise effectively with contractualpartners, mainstream and settlement service providers aswell as clients and their communities, andvolunteers
Demonstrated ability toundertake case management with clients with complexneeds
Demonstrated ability tosupport and mentor staff
Sound understanding ofcurrent Commonwealth and State policies related toimmigration, community detention, income support and otherrelevant social policies and demonstrated ability torespond flexibly to changing policy and programneeds
Demonstrated ability towork autonomously as well as collaboratively withinmulti-disciplinary teams to achieve/exceed key performancegoals
Demonstrated high levelwritten communication, report writing, word processing,organisational and time management skills
Demonstrated positivevalues of integrity, reliability, teamwork andprofessionalism consistent with the AMES Australia Visionand demonstrated commitment to performance management,quality and continuous improvement principles




Proficiency with ITstandard software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint,and ability to use Internet and e-mail and other onlineproducts
