Ongoing, full-time role earning $85,787 to $98,651 per year, plus super.
As industry officer, you will supervise prisoners in commercial and service industry areas at Karreenga.
You will help deliver workplace training while supporting protected, efficient and productive prison industry operations.
You Will
supervise safe daily industry operations and help meet production and service targets
train, assess and coach prisoners to build practical work skills and job readiness
maintain accurate records, monitor stock and support quality, safety and security requirements
conduct searches, manage tool security and follow strict occupational health and safety procedures
work with prison staff to support prisoner development, continuous improvement and positive outcomes.
About You
A current forklift licence is desirable. A trade qualification or relevant experience in meat processing is highly desirable.
You Should Also Have
strong trade, manufacturing or production experience
proven ability to coach, motivate and supervise others
sound problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions
excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.
