Its flagship event series cover both sides of the sector; operations and investment.This role will be to lead the conference planning and agenda delivery of all events to ensure they are best in class through top-notch conference programs and content production, including speaker and chair acquisition and industry partner management.
You will also collaborate closely with the editorial, sales, marketing, customer success, delegate sales, and operations teams to deliver conference production.As a Conference Producer, you will join a growing events team, working across a continuously successful portfolio of events, focusing on writing compelling and topical content and agendas for all events, including concurrent formats such as workshops, masterclasses, forums, round-tables, and seminars.Responsibilities:Leading agenda design and content development for the portfolio,



working closely with the Group Head of Events and subject matter experts across the content teamOverseeing end-to-end program production in partnership with the Group Head of EventsTracking market trends and emerging topics across the resources sector to shape relevant, timely contentSecuring high-profile industry speakers and building a strong pipeline of potential chairs and contributorsBuilding and maintaining relationships with senior executives through interviews and meetings (phone, virtual, and in-person)Partnering with the sales team to identify opportunities that support sponsorship revenue growthBenchmarking competitor and industry events to identify points of differentiation and areas for improvementIntroducing fresh, creative formats to keep the business ahead of shifting trends in event deliveryDriving the social media presence and brand identity for each eventCoordinating with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to deliver a seamless experience for attendees, both before and during eventsTraveling internationally as needed for internal and industry eventsRequirements:Experience in conference production, with a B2B topic focusFamiliarity or an interest in the mining, oil, and gas landscape is a plus, though not requiredBackground in launching new events from the ground up, including topic validation and market testingConfidence engaging senior stakeholders and executives, both internally and with external partnersStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teamsCommercial awareness and solid business judgmentAbility to juggle multiple projects at once without compromising on quality or deadlinesA self-starter mentality; proactive, independent, and comfortable taking initiative
