About the Role

/n

As an IT Support Engineer, you'll provide both remote and onsite technical support across a broad range of Microsoft technologies and business IT environments.

/n

You'll assist clients with day-to-day technical issues while also gaining exposure to server administration, Microsoft 365, virtual environments, networking and infrastructure projects.

/n

This role offers plenty of variety and is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, building client relationships and continually developing their technical skills within a supportive MSP environment.

/n

Your time will be split between remote support, onsite client visits and project work,



giving you exposure to a diverse range of technologies and business environments.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

Provide technical support to business clients across a variety of IT environments

/n

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and infrastructure issues

/n

Assist with the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments

/n

Manage user accounts, permissions and Active Directory tasks

/n

Support Microsoft 365 environments, including Outlook, Teams and user administration

/n

Assist with virtual server environments, including VMware or Hyper-V

/n

Troubleshoot networking issues including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs and VLANs

/n

Assist with backup solutions and system monitoring

/n

Perform onsite client visits across Sydney as required

/n

Document work completed within the PSA/ticketing system

/n

Participate in client projects, upgrades and technology improvements

/n

Deliver professional, responsive and customer-focused support

/n

About You

/n

You're a proactive IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, learning new technologies and helping businesses solve technical challenges.

/n

You may already have experience working within an MSP environment, or you may be an ambitious IT technician looking to broaden your technical skills and progress your career.

/n

You'll ideally have:

/n





Previous experience in an IT support or technical support role

/n

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

/n

Good understanding of Microsoft Windows environments

/n

Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications

/n

Understanding of Active Directory and user administration

/n

Exposure to Windows Server environments

/n

Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP

/n

Strong communication and customer service skills

/n

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

/n

Current Australian Driver's Licence

/n

Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP)

/n

Experience with VMware ESXi or Hyper-V mainly

/n

Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam

/n

Firewall experience with Watchguard, Draytek, Sophos, Ubiquiti or similar

/n

Microsoft certifications

/n

Experience supporting business IT environments

/n

Highly Desirable if you have been supporting medical or dental practice management software such as Medical Director, Best Practice, Dental4Windows, Genie, Shexie etc or similar healthcare applications will be highly regarded.
