Austek Roads are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to fulfil a full-time position in the road construction industry based out of Arundle, Gold Coast.

Austek Roads are a fast-growing asphalt and road maintenance company, servicing southeast Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and ACT. Austek Roads completes asphalt and sealing works for a number of city councils and major civil construction companies.
About the Role
Austek Roads requires the skills of a Senior Payroll Officer, for the full end to end payroll function and administration duties. This includes assisting the finance team to ensure financial functions, compliance and reporting are complete and accurate in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform payroll administration and maintain employee records including setting up recent starters, terminations and payments, pay increases and back-pays
- Process and maintain the weekly end to end payroll functions and systems
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain employee cards,
personnel file and database
- Identify and resolve payroll errors or discrepancies
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and end of month payroll accrual
- Process Annual Payroll Tax Return for all states
- Process and administer Workcover and Portable LSL for all states
- Process weekly PAYG
- Process and administer monthly super and payroll tax for all states
- Ensure compliance with current Awards, legislation, provisions, guidelines, contracts, policies & procedures
Requirements
- MYOB Experience Required
- Previous experience in similar payroll role.
- Excellent customer services skills.
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic business administration principals.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Must currently reside in Australia.
