Trainer & Assessor - Construction Courses (CPC31020 | CPC30620)

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer and Assessor to join our team and deliver training and assessment for:
- CPC30620 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
- CPC31020 – Certificate III in Solid Plastering
About the Role
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical and compliant training and assessment to students in accordance with the relevant training package requirements and Omni College’s policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality training and assessment for CPC30620 and/or CPC31020
- Providing practical demonstrations and hands‑on training in relevant trade skills
- Assessing students’ competency fairly, consistently and in accordance with assessment requirements
- Supporting students to develop the knowledge and practical skills required for successful completion of their qualification
- Maintaining accurate and timely student training and assessment records
- Providing constructive feedback and appropriate student support
- Ensuring training and assessment activities meet ASQA, Standards for RTOs and training package requirements
- Keeping up to date with current industry practices, standards, regulations and workplace requirements
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced trainer who is passionate about helping students develop real‑world trade skills.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Relevant industry experience in Painting and Decorating and/or Solid Plastering
- Strong practical trade skills and current industry knowledge
- Relevant trade qualification(s) and/or industry experience aligned with the units you will deliver and assess
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent/accepted qualification
- Current industry currency and vocational competency relevant to the training and assessment you will undertake
- Ability to engage students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
- Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills
- Commitment to providing a high‑quality student experience
Desirable
- Experience delivering and assessing CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
- Experience delivering and assessing CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering
- Previous experience working as a Trainer and Assessor within an RTO
