The Company is seeking a Head of Payroll Operations to lead the strategic transformation of the payroll function for its large workforce. This pivotal role is dedicated to elevating the payroll function, with a focus on leading payroll strategy, governance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement, automation, and system optimization, as well as strengthening compliance, financial controls, and audit readiness.

Collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including IR, Finance, People & Culture, and operational leaders, is essential to enhance payroll outcomes. The Head of Payroll Operations will also lead a team of experienced payroll professionals and play a key role in the implementation of recent systems. Applicants for the Head of Payroll Operations position at the company should be seasoned payroll leaders with a proven track record of influencing change in large, complex organizations.





The role requires significant leadership experience in high-volume, complex payroll operations, a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements, and experience in leading payroll transformation and system implementation. Knowledge of SAP and/or Kronos is highly regarded. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving systems, processes, and governance, and possess strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
