Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Social Work which provides eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers or Degree in Psychology with full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Demonstrated ability to provide advanced knowledge and skills in counselling services to individuals, and families in the context of child sexual assault, trauma, violence and abuse.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in managing intergenerational trauma, child sexual abuse and the principles of family focussed intervention, with the ability to engage with young people who have sexually harmed and with their families, including Aboriginal children and families.

Demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework governing child protection in NSW.

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
