We are now seeking a hands-on and experienced Casual Chef, Kitchen Hand, or Food Handler to join our growing team.

About Us

We are a well-established, reputable family-owned Fruit & Vegetable Wholesaler with a legacy spanning 30 years, conveniently located in Burleigh Heads. We supply fresh-cut fruit, vegetables, and freshly made juices to food manufacturers and food service operations across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Northern Rivers.

Job Description

- Prepare fresh fruit and vegetables according to production requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every batch
- Operate food processing machinery to slice, dice, seal, or package products as needed for daily output
- Follow recipes and portion guides whilst checking that all products meet quality and presentation standard
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and processing staff to support a smooth and efficient production process
- Assist with cleaning kitchen work areas, equipment,



and machinery at the end of each production shift to maintain hygiene standards
- Adhere to HACCP protocols, hygiene procedures, and workplace health and safety standards at all times
- Proactively contribute to a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses through the SHERM system in line with company safety protocol

Additional Skills and Attributes

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Food Handling, or a related qualification
- Experience working as a chef, cook, or kitchen hand in a commercial or production kitchen
- Hands-on background in food production and operation of kitchen machinery
- Experience working with HACCP system
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and safe handling of fresh produce
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge with food safety and hygiene standards
- Reliable, fast learner, with high attention to detail
