We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Assistant in Nursing (AIN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our team, supporting participants in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing person centred care and supporting people with disability to live safely, confidently, and as independently as possible in their own home.
About the Role
You will work as part of a supportive team to provide high quality care and daily living support to NDIS participants in a home based SIL setting.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and daily living assistance
- Supporting participants with health and wellbeing needs
- Assisting with medication support, within scope of practice
- Monitoring and reporting changes in participant health or behaviour
- Supporting meal preparation, household tasks, and community access
- Following individual support plans, behaviour support plans, and clinical care plans
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and community participation
- Working collaboratively with families, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and the broader care team
- Completing accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is professional,
caring, and committed to delivering safe, respectful, and person-centred support.
Essential requirements:
- AIN qualification, Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent; or
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience supporting people with disability, complex care needs, or in a SIL/NDIS environment
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Ability to follow care plans, policies, and procedures
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work across a rotating roster
- Driver’s licence
Desirable:
- Experience with personal care, manual handling, medication support, epilepsy management, diabetes care, bowel care, PEG feeding, or other complex health supports
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and person centred practice
