Rice Construction Group Pty Ltd is an award-winning, family-owned construction company with offices in Armidale and Tamworth. We're seeking an experienced full-time Leading Hand Carpenter to join our Armidale team.

This is a genuine opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking to step up and take their next move, leading the carpentry based aspects of our projects. You'll be hands on, out in front and part of a company building some of the region's most exciting and diverse projects. If you've got the talent, the drive and a passion for teaching and guiding the next generation, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Take the lead on the carpentry based aspects of residential and commercial projects
- Lead and coordinate on-site carpentry crews to deliver high-quality work safely and on schedule
- Set out and supervise carpentry works
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Mentor and teach our apprentices, helping develop the next generation of tradespeople
- Liaise with site supervisors and project managers on programming, quality, and resourcing
- Maintain a safe,



productive, and positive site culture

What We Are Looking For

- Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification)
- Solid carpentry experience of 5 years and the drive to step up into a leadership role
- Solid ability to set out, plan, and problem solve on site
- A genuine willingness to teach and mentor apprentices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- High standards in quality, safety, and attention to detail
- White Card, driver's licence, reliable transport
