About the role
Reporting to management, you'll be responsible for coordinating workshop operations, managing staff, scheduling repairs and maintenance, and ensuring efficient day-to-day workflow. This is a largely administrative and supervisory position, ideal for an experienced Diesel Mechanic looking to transition into management.

Ready to step off the tools and into leadership? We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee a team of five within a busy workshop servicing construction and earthmoving equipment.

- Monday to Friday role with no weekend work
- $100,000 + Super + Immediate Start
Your key responsibilities.
- Manage and lead a team of 5 workshop staff, ensuring a productive and positive work setting.
- Coordinate daily workshop operations, scheduling maintenance, repairs and servicing activities.
- Prioritise and allocate work to maximise workshop efficiency and minimise equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, purchase orders and workshop documentation.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding repairs, parts and job progress.
- Monitor workshop performance, productivity and compliance with company procedures.
- Assist with parts ordering, inventory control and workshop budgeting activities.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel when required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop processes and customer service.
About you.
- Previous experience within the diesel, construction or earthmoving equipment industry
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Leadership experience or a desire to move into a management role
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic highly regarded (not essential)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
