Zonzo Restaurant Pty Ltd t/as Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley, located in the heart of

Yarra Glen, is seeking an experienced full-time Chef to join its expanding team.

This unique venue has a relaxed yet professional approach to its food, with strong

focus on antipasto, pizze and share plates.

Job Description:

1. Preparing and cooking food to a high standard and in accordance with regulations and policies
2. Ensuring quality and presentation of dishes cooked
3. Assisting the Head Chef to plan seasonal menus and specials
4. Mentoring, and assisting in training and supervising junior chefs and kitchen staff
5. Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
6. Freezing and preserving food
7. Assisting in monitoring stocks of food and kitchen supplies
8. Assisting in checking food deliveries for quality, correct temperature and quantities
9. Ensuring secure food storage and preservation in accordance with Food Safety Plan
10. Ensuring that all food preparation areas and equipment are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
11. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and OH&S regulations and procedures
12.



Monitoring booking numbers for the restaurant and ensuring that the appropriate amount of food is ordered and prepared
13. Any other duties reasonably specified by the Director/Owner from time to time

Successful Applicants will require the following:

1. Australian working rights
2. Ability to travel to Zonzo Estate in Yarra Glen
3. Have experience in hand stretching dough
4. Experience working with a wood-fired pizza oven
5. Work efficiently under pressure during service
6. Self-motivated
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Available to work on weekends
9. A professional and dependable attitude
10. The ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
11. Food safety knowledge and relevant qualifications
