About us

Andersen in Australia is a specialist tax and business advisory firm working with corporate and multinational groups, founders, family enterprises and private clients. We are part of Andersen Global, an association of independent member firms with more than 14,000 professionals across 170 countries.

We are a supportive, collegiate team, and that shapes everything about this role. You will work across the full breadth of what the firm does, with people who are generous with their time and quick to explain what they do and why it matters.

About the role

This is a permanent in-house position in an established marketing, communications and business development function. You will report to the Managing Director, MCBD, and work closely with our Chief Executive and technical directors.

You are joining a function that already runs. There is a content engine in place, a defined brand system, an analytics stack, a podcast series in production and a regular publishing cadence. Your job is to design and produce the work that keeps all of it moving, and to lift the standard of it.

The role suits someone who has worked in-house before and wants more range. You will design the work and then produce it: artwork and layout, website and blog updates, campaign builds, video editing and running the channels.

What you will do

Design and brand. Social media artwork, marketing collateral, reports and event materials. You hold brand consistency across everything the firm publishes.

Website and content publishing. Keeping au.andersen.com current is a standing part of this role. You will build and update pages in WordPress, publish insight articles, apply SEO settings,

and produce and send campaigns in Mailchimp. You do not need to be a developer, but you do need to be comfortable in a CMS.

Video and podcast. Editing video and episodes of our podcast series. Video is becoming a core part of this role rather than an occasional extra.

Social and reporting. Running Andersen in Australia's LinkedIn presence, planning and scheduling content.

About you

- Three to four years in graphic design, ideally in-house or within skilled services, finance or another corporate environment

- Experience holding a defined brand system across multiple channels, and working to established guidelines rather than setting your own

- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly InDesign & Canva

- Video editing you are confident in, with motion graphics an advantage

- Hands-on WordPress or CMS experience. Website and article publishing is a regular part of this role.

- Email marketing platform experience, ideally Mailchimp

- A working understanding of corporate branding, typography and visual hierarchy

- Comfortable writing short copy for social and campaigns, and working to a house style

- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and reading performance data

- Self-directed, detail oriented and organised.

You must have full working rights in Australia and be able to work from our Melbourne CBD office.

What you get out of it

Breadth you will not get in a larger team. Strong design work at the core, with web, video, email and campaign experience built around it.

Hands-on AI exposure in a function that already uses it. We use AI in production workflows and reporting, and we are continually improving how we adopt it. You will use these tools daily and help shape what we build next.

Every channel the firm uses. Website, email, LinkedIn, YouTube, podcast, print and events, plus the analytics behind all of it. You will see how a campaign moves from a page to a post to a send, and what each one contributes.

Direct access to decision makers. You will work with our senior stakeholders regularly. You are in the room when decisions are made, and can contribute to ideas and initiaives.

A manager who explains the why. You will be taught the reasoning behind the work, not handed briefs to execute.

Hybrid working, Melbourne CBD office, and support for professional development.

How to apply

You will need two things ready before you apply:

1. Your CV (with a link to your design portfolio)

2. Short, genuine answers (up to 300 words each) to both questions below:

Question 1. Look at something Andersen in Australia has published recently, a LinkedIn post, a podcast episode, or a page on au.andersen.com. What would you change about it, and why?

Question 2. How do you currently use AI tools in your design or content work, and what is one thing you do not use them for?

Quick heads up: These answers are just as important as your CV.
