Associate Systems Analyst (APS5 Equivalent)

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Associate Systems Analyst (APS5 equivalent) to support the analysis, design, and delivery of ICT solutions that improve business outcomes and user experiences.

The Role

Working within a cooperative technology environment, you will assist in translating business requirements into technical solutions, contribute to system design activities, support testing and implementation, and work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse and evaluate business processes and requirements.
- Support the design and implementation of ICT solutions.
- Develop and maintain functional and solution documentation.
- Conduct testing activities, including test planning and execution.
- Monitor and support operational performance of business solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and support project delivery.
- Contribute to quality reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Essential Experience

- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience supporting software or solution design activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.




- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work within structured delivery methodologies and Agile environments.

Desirable Experience

- Experience contributing to feasibility assessments and business cases.
- Exposure to user experience evaluation, user testing, or design feedback activities.

Security Requirement

Applicants must hold a current Baseline Security Clearance.

- APS5 Equivalent
- 12-month initial contract
- Extension opportunities available
- Locations: ACT, Queensland, Victoria, or South Australia
