About CLO

We are a values-focused organisation, who put the people we support, first. Established in 1982 by a group of local parents who wanted respite and accommodation for their now adult children, we have expanded exponentially because our participants love our services.

Join Our Youth Team

We are seeking passionate Youth Workers who are committed to empowering young people to develop independence, build confidence and achieve their goals and actively participate in their communities.

Every young person is unique. You may be supporting young people to develop life skills, participate in recreational activities, build social connections, access education or employment opportunities, or navigate challenges while maintaining a protected and supportive environment.

This role is based in the southern suburbs, with the young person transitioning to the northern suburbs. As part of this transition, staff must be willing and able to work across both locations for an short periods to provide consistent support and assist with a smooth transition

Key Responsibilities

- Support young people to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

- Assist with developing daily living and independent living skills.

- Support community participation, social inclusion and recreational activities.

- Implement individual support plans and strategies.

- Promote safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

- Build positive relationships based on trust and respect.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation.

- Support young people using person-centred and strengths-based approaches.

Shifts

The roster includes AM and PM shifts, and staff must be available to work passive overnight shifts

What You'll Need to Thrive in This Role

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working with Children Check

- Current Driver's Licence

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

- Qualification IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Disability, Individual Support or a related field
