This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-led organisation based in Sydney, working within a collaborative People & Culture team that supports a diverse workforce across research, professional services and operational functions. With over 200 employees across the organisation, you will be part of a small HR team and take on a varied and interesting role.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail, supporting others and contributing to practical improvements in a changing environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Director, you will provide hands-on HR administration support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a varied position in a small team, so you will have the opportunity to contribute and develop as an HR professional role play an important part in keeping the People & Culture function running smoothly.
This will include:
- Recruitment and recruitment coordination
- Production of contracts and offer letters
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Managing the HR system and database
- First point of contact for HR queries
- Liaising with payroll regarding queries and employee contracts
- HR reporting and analytics
- Exposure to projects include getting involved in HRIS rollouts and training of staff
- Employee engagement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Ideally, hold a tertiary qualification in HR or Psychology, be that a degree or diploma
- Previous experience in an HR,
People & Culture Administrator or Coordinator role, ideally 2 - 3 years tenure, as this is a role for someone looking for a step-up
- Hands-on experience using Employment Hero is required
- Solid understanding of employment legislation, awards and being able to provide HR advice to employees and managers
- A solid understanding of employee lifecycle administration and HR processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and confidence handling confidential information.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with employees and managers at all levels.
- As this is a permanent role, to be considered for the position you will need to have full permanent working rights
