You'll be responsible for providing Tier 2 network operational support within a large, complex enterprise environment, acting as a key escalation point for network incidents and ensuring network services remain stable, available and effective. From troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues through to supporting major incidents and network changes, you'll play an important role within a global Network Operations Centre.

Day to day duties include:

- Provide Tier 2 support across a large-scale enterprise network environment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues.
- Act as an escalation point for complex network incidents.
- Support Major Incident Management, working with technical teams to identify and resolve network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot network traffic, firewall blocks and connectivity issues.
- Support network changes and the transition of new or upgraded network services into BAU.
- Manage incidents, problems and changes through ServiceNow.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, procedures and support runbooks.
- Work with third-party vendors to resolve issues and maintain supported network devices.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve NOC operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the NOC team.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience as a NOC Engineer, Network Operations Engineer,



Network Support Engineer or similar.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies, including IOS and/or Nexus.
- Experience with Juniper networking technologies.
- Experience supporting firewalls, ideally Palo Alto and/or Cisco ASA.
- Knowledge of WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN and IPsec technologies.
- Experience supporting major incidents and troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Strong documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within incident, problem and change management processes.
- Ability to remain calm and effectively prioritise issues within a fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable:

- F5 BIG-IP / load balancing experience.
- Cisco ACI experience.
- Packet analysis experience using Wireshark, NETSCOUT, APCON, Infinistream or similar tools.
- AWS Direct Connect experience.
- Aruba wireless or Brocade switching exposure.
- ServiceNow experience.
- CCNA or CCNP certification.
- Previous experience within financial services or another large, complex enterprise environment.
