My client is a family run business that has been operating in WA for 90 years. They have won a contract with a large owner operator and need an open pit mine surveyor to join them. Brilliant opportunity.
Daily Duties
- Maintain and manage survey control systems and spatial accuracy across site
- Provide volume calculations, reporting, and reconciliation
- Support drill & blast set-out and validation
- Assist mine planning teams with accurate survey data and analysis
- Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS and total stations
- Contribute to a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site standards
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across operations
About You
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a mining survey role (open pit, metalliferous preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mine surveying principles and practices
- Experience with survey control, volume reporting,
and spatial data management
- Confident communicator with the ability to work within a team environment
- Current WA C-Class Driver’s Licence
Highly Regarded
- Experience with Trimble equipment and Surpac software
- Exposure to drone surveying
- Grade II Survey Authorisation (or working towards)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Surveying or Geomatics
