Located 3km from the CBD at UNLEY, Tomich Wines is a family owned and wine business running.

Reporting primarily to a family stakeholder, we are looking for a capable and motivated wine industry professional to join our family administration team as Head of Accounting & Finance and take ownership of day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, can work independently and enjoys a diversity in workloads.

? About the Role

You will be responsible for the financial administration of the business, supporting management with accurate reporting and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role covers everything through to high-level accounting and tax return preparation support.

Key responsibilities include:

- Oversee & assist with (when teams members on leave) accounts payable and receivable

- Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations

- Payroll processing (full-time, part-time and casual staff) including STP

- Superannuation, PAYG, WorkCover and payroll compliance

- Preparation of BAS and IAS and lodgement via the ATO Online Services portal for wine group related entities

- Managing supplier payment cycles, including uploads and approvals for bank processing

- Managing multi-stage pricing and multi-site inventory control, including working with the wine maker as to accurate stock costings and COGS improvement

- Managing wine industry related statutory requirements





- Maintaining accurate financial records, including budgets, insurances and filing systems

- Preparing financial year end Tax Working Paper files for review and lodgement by an external accountant

- Providing accounting & general administrative support to management, when required

? What We're Looking For

Essential:

- Experienced accountant in the wine industry (3-5+ years preferred)

- Solid understanding of AP, AR, payroll and reconciliations

- Confidence using Reckon Accounts Enterprise and/or Reckon One accounting software or similar

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently and manage workload

- Strong communication and organisational skills

- Live in Adelaide and have a current driver's license & your own transport

- Australian citizenship is required for this position

Desirable:

- Exposure to the wine industry

- Bachelor-level accounting studies, if not CPA or CA qualified

- Permanent Part Time Salary position $45-$55 plus Superannuation Guarantee depending on experience)
