FARM RENOVATION CREW (HOUSING) - THREE POSITIONS

An established family farming operation near Rowena is looking for three practical workers to help renovate and upgrade several houses across its properties.

We are ideally looking for:

- Two workers with carpentry, building or residential renovation skills.
- One worker with solid residential plumbing experience.

The work will be focused on renovating farmhouses rather than general farming or irrigation. Projects will include kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, bedrooms and general living areas.

Duties may include:

- General farmhouse renovations and repairs.
- Carpentry, framing, flooring and internal fit-outs.
- Installing doors, windows, cabinetry, shelving and fixtures.
- Repairing walls, ceilings, cladding and other building components.
- Bathroom, kitchen and laundry upgrades.
- Installing and repairing residential plumbing and fixtures.
- Painting, patching, finishing and general maintenance.
- Keeping tools, materials and work areas organized.

About you

We are interested in people from carpentry, building, plumbing, maintenance or residential renovation backgrounds.

Formal trade qualifications will be well regarded, but they are not the only consideration. Applicants with strong, proven hands-on experience who can demonstrate the quality of their work will also be considered.





You do not need to be a project manager or a high-end commercial construction specialist. You do need to be practical, reliable, confident using tools and capable of completing renovation work to a good standard.

What is provided:

- Approximately three to six months of reliable work.
- Consistent hours each week.
- Tools and equipment required for the work.
- A work vehicle for travel between jobs on the properties.
- On-farm accommodation and meals available, with arrangements confirmed before commencement.
- Work that may qualify as specified regional work for eligible Working Holiday visa holders.

The hourly rate will depend on skills and experience. It will not compete with major commercial construction site rates, but the position offers steady hours, accommodation, low living costs and several months of dependable work.

Applicants should have:

- Relevant carpentry, building, plumbing or renovation experience.
- Trade qualifications and/or solid evidence of previous work.
- Confidence using hand and power tools.
- A current driver's license.
- Current Australian working rights.
- Availability to commit for at least three months.

Friends or small groups travelling together are encouraged to apply, particularly where the group offers a good combination of carpentry, plumbing and general renovation skills.
