Sajen Legal is a growing law firm with more than 25 years of experience delivering practical, commercially focused legal solutions to businesses and individuals across Australia.

As our Brisbane office continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Litigation Team.

This role is suited to an ambitious litigator who enjoys more than simply managing files. Alongside a high-quality commercial litigation practice, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop referral relationships, participate in networking and business development activities, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Brisbane office.

You will work across a broad range of commercial disputes while having the opportunity to further develop any specialist expertise you bring to the role. Candidates with experience or a particular interest in building and construction litigation or insolvency and restructuring will be viewed favourably.

The Role

You will work across a diverse range of commercial litigation matters, including:

- Contractual disputes

- Shareholder and business disputes

- Debt recovery matters

- Insolvency-related litigation

- Building & construction disputes

- General commercial and corporate disputes

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing litigation matters from commencement through to resolution.

- Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients.

- Appearing in mediations, interlocutory applications and hearings.

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.





- Strengthening referral partner relationships and assisting with business development initiatives.

- Representing the firm at networking, industry and client events.

- Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers where appropriate.

- Contributing to the continued growth and success of our Brisbane office.

About You

You will likely have:

- Approximately 5+ years PAE in commercial litigation.

- Strong technical, drafting and matter management skills.

- The ability to confidently manage matters with a high degree of autonomy.

- Strong client relationship and communication skills.

- A commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.

- An interest in developing professional networks and business relationships.

- The confidence to represent the firm professionally and build trusted relationships with clients and referrers.

- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support junior team members.

- Experience or interest in developing expertise & growth within a specialist area of litigation.
