Located on the beautiful NSW South Coast, Batemans Bay Marina Resort offers a range of holiday accommodation options in a stunning waterfront setting. We are excited to be opening a new indoor golf simulator complete with a bar and Mexican restaurant, and we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chef / Venue Manager to lead the food, beverage and venue operations.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional who can combine kitchen leadership with broader venue management. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, bar, restaurant, golf simulator, events and guest offerings, ensuring a high-quality experience for guests while driving team performance, compliance and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the kitchen, bar, restaurant, golf simulator and events/conference operations.
- Plan, execute and continuously improve menu offerings, pricing, quality control and service delivery.
- Maintain high standards of food production, presentation, guest service, cleanliness and venue ambience.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving, inventory, supplier relationships and cost control across food, beverage and venue supplies.
- Monitor labour, stock and operating costs to support budgeted targets and strong venue performance.
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and support to kitchen, front-of-house and venue staff.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training,



roster management and performance standards for venue team members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA, WHS, HACCP, licensing and company policy requirements.
- Coordinate and deliver events, conferences and group bookings to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve guest experience, operational efficiency, review scores and revenue.

About You

- Previous experience as a Chef, ideally with broader hospitality, venue or food and beverage management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian food safety standards, hygiene requirements and general kitchen operations.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
- Commercially minded, with experience managing wages, stock, costs and operational performance.
- Solutions-focused, calm under pressure and able to maintain service standards during busy periods.
- Guest-focused, with a passion for delivering quality experiences and building a positive team culture.
- Available to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
