Are you ready to lead the charge in reshaping global news from the US? We are looking for a powerhouse News24 US Executive Producer to serve as the senior editorial and production lead for content created across the United States. Following our rebrand and massive expansion on platforms like YouTube, this is a unique chance to combine an established global brand with the agility of a startup. You will provide decisive leadership, strong news judgment, and strategic thinking to drive the performance, quality, and daily delivery of content across News24's digital platforms.
This is a 2-year contract with the possibility of extension. The role is based in Dallas, Texas
About the role:
- Set and drive the daily and long-term editorial direction for US-based programs, ensuring content is original, authoritative, and aligned with audience objectives while retaining final editorial authority.
- Partner closely with hosts on program content and development, contributing ideas to shape the editorial agenda and managing the working relationship professionally.
- Take final responsibility for editorial sign-off across all digital content, ensuring absolute accuracy, adherence to the Editorial Code of Conduct, and protection against legal risks like defamation.
- Strictly vet and brief every guest and contributor, conducting thorough social media and background checks to safeguard News24’s reputation.
- Oversee daily production workflows and manage program budgets effectively, ensuring content is delivered on time, within financial parameters, and to the highest standards.
- Lead response to breaking news events, providing clear and decisive editorial direction to the production team during fast-moving, high-stakes situations.
- Monitor program performance data regularly, using insights to innovate formats and align output with platform KPIs, including audience growth and subscription targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of production and editorial staff, fostering a positive, collaborative culture and managing resource planning
Who are you?
- You possess strong, senior news judgment regarding story selection and framing, with a sharp understanding of what matters to digital audiences.
- You are an experienced leader in managing complex, multi-format digital productions, with a grasp of workflows, scheduling, and budget management.
- You are a strategic thinker, able to develop long-term content strategies and format innovations that drive platform growth beyond the daily news cycle.
- You thrive under pressure, making clear, confident decisions in a quick-moving,
continuous news environment.
- You apply a rigorous approach to accuracy and journalistic standards, ensuring all scripts, graphics, and video assets are fact-checked, correctly attributed, and legally cleared.
- You are a collaborative team builder, skilled at resolving conflicts constructively and mentoring staff to elevate the quality and impact of their work.
- You are adaptable, leading at a high standard across unpredictable news cycles and evolving platform demands.
