This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing our Containers For Change (COEX) logistics services throughout the Townsville region, as well as our established Container Refund Depot (CRD) in Fairfield Waters.

As part of our COEX logistic services, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 4 trucks and coordinating collection of containers from COEX refund depots in the Townsville greater region. Our COEX logistics services operate 6 days per week, Monday through to Saturday.

As part of our Townsville COEX Container Refund Depot, you will lead a team of approximately 15 staff, ensuring compliance with internal systems and external contractual requirements, and foster a culture of safety, service, and efficiency. You will be responsible for recruitment, rostering and managing our CRD team, which also includes our commercial COEX operations in Townsville. Our COEX Townsville CRD operates 7 days per week.

The role is based in Townsville working from our Container Refund Depot in Fairfield Waters.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day logistics and site operations across the Townsville region.

- Lead a team of up to 20 staff.

- Ensure compliance with contractual, environmental, and WHS obligations.

- Oversee site safety, risk assessments,



and continuous improvement in WHS practices.

- Monitor operational performance and implement strategies for cost-effective service delivery.

- Maintain accurate records, reports, and schedules using internal IT and logistics systems.

- Represent MAMS Group in local stakeholder and community engagement.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience managing a site, logistics experience, and a hands-on, people-focused approach. You will be comfortable leading teams, managing competing priorities, and maintaining high standards in safety and service delivery.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience managing site operations.

- Strong leadership and team management skills – ideally leading teams of 10+ people.

- Solid knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety compliance and practices including Chain of Responsibility.

- High level of computer literacy, including operations or logistics software and reporting tools.

- Excellent communication, planning, and customer service skills.

- A cooperative, forward-thinking approach to people and operational management.

- Experience in the Container Refund Scheme or waste/recycling industry is advantageous.
