What's on offer?

An Estimating Engineer opportunity that will see you working with internal teams & external clients to provide quotations for tailored security solutions across new business. Based out of Brisbane, as an Estimating Engineer for Optic Security Group you will sit across multiple states with a range of sectors, including Health, Gov, Mining, Data Centers and Education. From developing estimates and proposals for security projects, to solution development and tailored customer value propositions, you will be the master of all.

As an Estimating Engineer with Optic Security Group, you will work as part of a team to develop compelling and accurate bids, quotations and tender responses that support the growth of the organisation. You will develop, maintain and leverage supplier and subcontractor relationships to source quotes and pricing, while also keeping across market insights and conditions to advise the BDM team accordingly.

Not just another desk job, this role will see you attending client meetings, internal business meetings and trade shows to ensure you are in the best position to provide advice and keep your finger on the pulse with market developments. The opportunity to represent a business that delivers on the wider safety of all, this role sees you advocating for that, designing solutions to suit client requirements.





In this role you can also expect to:

- Develop detailed cost estimates, quotations, solution pricing and tender pricing responses.
- Identifying and detailing risk as it relates to an estimation.
- Provide hand-over documentation and attend hand-over meetings with project and operational personnel on successful bids.
- Liaise with industry participants and associations in order to stay abreast of industry developments.
- Provide clients with advice and support on products to ensure the best solutions are developed.

What you'll bring

- Previous experience in Estimating is essential!
- Must hold NV1 Clearance - this is key.
- Knowledge of the security sector or similar from prior experience in the industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate and present articulately and confidently to both internal and external parties.
- Effectively develop and manage relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- A high level of ability to problem solve, negotiate and influence outcomes, as well as mitigate potential risk.
- Currently hold a Security Licence.
