- Clerk Grade 5/6 with a salary range of $102,936 - $113,579 plus shift allowances, superannuation and leave loading.
- Roles based across NSW including: Hunter/Central Coast, Sydney Metro, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, NorthWest/Central West, Southern Tablelands/Riverina
This recruitment process is being conducted to establish a talent pool for future temporary and ongoing, part-time and full-time Steward roles that may arise across NSW over the next 18 months.
In this dynamic and varied role, you will:
- Oversee and officiate race meetings to ensure compliance with legislation and industry rules.
- Investigate incidents, complaints and potential breaches, and contribute to enforcement outcomes.
- Monitor compliance activities and gather evidence to support regulatory decision making.
- Analyse information from multiple sources and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Work closely with veterinarians, inspectors, integrity officers, industry participants and racing clubs to achieve positive regulatory outcomes.
- Travel throughout NSW and work rostered hours, including evenings and weekends.

About You
We're seeking motivated professionals who can confidently assess situations, apply legislation and policies, make fair decisions, and remain calm under pressure.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a regulatory, compliance, integrity, investigative or enforcement environment.
- Strong judgement and the ability to analyse information and determine appropriate actions.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Professionalism, resilience and a high level of integrity.
- A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel.
