We are seeking an experienced, hands on Warehouse Manager to work within and oversee the daily warehouse operations of our Yatala warehouse. This is a hands on role requiring a practical leader who works methodically, remains calm under pressure and actively identifies and reduces risk while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, unloading, storage, order picking and dispatch of stone slabs.
- Safely handle and manage stone slabs using forklifts, gantry cranes, jib attachments, slab clamps and A-frame storage systems.
- Uphold and follow WHS procedures, complete risk assessments and address hazards before work proceeds.
- Activate picking and delivery dockets on drivers arrival and also process sales orders to assist operations team when required.
- Manage barcoding, bin transfers and stock locations to ensure physical inventory matches the ERP system.
- Conduct routine stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate container arrivals, unloading and warehouse space.
- Ensure subcontractors and drivers are inducted and vehicles are compliant for loading.
- Support the Sales Team with sample packing and loading requirements.
- Lead the warehouse team through a practical, hands on approach.
About you
- A minimum of five years' warehouse management experience.
- Experience in stone, surfaces or construction materials is highly desirable.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- A current forklift licence.
- Proven experience with slab clamps, jib attachments and A-frame or slab rack storage.
- Previous gantry crane experience will be well regarded.
- Sound knowledge of WHS compliance, manual handling and secure work procedures.
- Experience with ERP or WMS inventory systems.
- The ability to work independently and lead respectfully.
