In this role, you'll:
• Perform systems testing in accordance with documented test instructions as part of the project test plan.
• Test trains and resolve any engineering issues that may arise during the test programme.
• Be part of a new team of Technicians, supported by the Senior Engineer.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports to the engineering team.
• Perform minor repairs/component replacements to address test failures
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
You will be part of an experienced team dedicated to repairing the Tangara fleet at the Flemington Maintenance Centre.

About you
You're a fully qualified electrician with strong technical expertise and proven problem-solving skills, you excel at diagnosing and resolving complex system issues, ensuring seamless equipment integration and optimal functionality.
You're recognised as a meticulous and detail-oriented professional, skilled in conducting thorough tests and commissioning procedures.
You hold an electrical or mechanical trade qualification or have previous experience in test and commissioning. You excel in fault finding, communication, and lateral thinking.
You may also have a background in the automotive or heavy plant industries, and experience in rolling stock, defence, or aviation would be a great bonus.
The Tangara Fleet Life Extension project will see you working on a truly high-tech project that will enhance the lives for the people of Sydney for years to come.
