Queensland Fencing Specialists is a leading provider of premium PVC and custom aluminium fencing and gate solutions across Queensland. As our manufacturing demand grows, we are seeking a skilled, reliable, and self-motivated Aluminium MIG Welder & Fabricator to join our Kingston team.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced fabricator to build custom aluminium gate frames using MIG welding, fit them with PVC infills and hardware, and manage local transport runs to and from our powder coaters.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in clean work, can manage their time efficiently, and can operate unsupervised from job sheet to final assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Frame Fabrication: MIG weld custom aluminium swing and sliding gate frames to strict specifications and measurements.

- Powder Coating Logistics: Safely load, drive, and drop off/pick up gate frames to and from local powder coaters.

- Assembly & Fitout: Fit PVC infills into completed aluminium frames and install hardware including gate wheels, tracks, latches, and hinges.

- Autonomous Workflow: Read technical specs/plans, prioritize your daily build queue, and manufacture gates unsupervised to deadlines.

- Quality Assurance & Handling: Carefully handle, pack, and transport powder-coated items to prevent scratches or damage.





- Workshop Upkeep: Maintain a clean, efficient fabrication bay and strictly follow WHS guidelines.

What We're Looking For

- Aluminium MIG Welding Skills: Proven hands-on experience MIG welding aluminium frames safely and neatly (required).

- Assembly Experience: Ability to fit PVC infill panels, gate wheels, and sliding/swing hardware precisely.

- Valid Driver’s Licence: Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence (and comfort towing a trailer/driving a ute for transport runs).

- Autonomous Work Ethic: Confident working unsupervised, managing your time, and solving problems on the floor.

- Care & Attention: Meticulous handling of raw and powder-coated materials to maintain premium product standards.

Bonus Skills (Not Essential, But a Plus)

- Current Forklift Licence (LF).

- Prior experience in the fencing, gate, or PVC manufacturing industry.
