As part of our continued growth, NSS is seeking an experienced and motivated Bulk Logistics Superintendent to lead and coordinate our bulk logistics operations based in Townsville. This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient and commercially focused management of bulk storage, stockpile management, warehousing, inventory, receival, load-out and transport activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Stevedoring & Logistics Manager, the Bulk Logistics Superintendent will provide leadership across NSS Logistics operations to ensure the highest standards of safety, customer service, operational efficiency and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily bulk logistics, warehousing and storage operations.

- Manage receival, storage, stockpile management, inventory control and dispatch activities.

- Coordinate bulk commodity handling, transport logistics and container packing operations.

- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of commodities through the supply chain.

- Manage workforce planning, labour utilisation and contractor performance.

- Drive compliance with HSEQ,



biosecurity and regulatory requirements.

- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure service delivery standards are achieved.

- Monitor operating costs, budgets and productivity performance.

- Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiency initiatives.

- Support business development opportunities and customer engagement activities.

- Assist with planning and execution of future grain storage, bulk handling and logistics expansion projects.

- Develop and maintain operational reporting, stock reconciliation and inventory accuracy.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

- Previous experience in bulk logistics, transport, warehousing, grain handling, ports or supply chain operations.

- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams.

- Strong safety leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.

- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.

- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and customer relationship management abilities.

- Current Queensland Driver's Licence.

- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.

Highly Desirable

- Experience in grain storage,



grain logistics or agricultural supply chains.

- Experience handling bulk concentrates and other mineral commodities.

- Experience within port operations, stevedoring or bulk export facilities.

- Knowledge of Approved Arrangements (DAFF), biosecurity and export compliance requirements.

- Experience managing budgets, operational performance metrics and continuous improvement programs.

- High Risk Work Licences and machinery operating experience.
