The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is a key support function within the finance team, providing hands-on assistance across core finance operations. The position will suit someone early in their accounting career who enjoys variety, ownership of processes and working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Supporting month-end close activities
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Posting journal entries
Updating the General Ledger
Working collaboratively on ad-hoc reporting tasks as requested by the Senior Accountants and Financial Manager
Liaising with internal operational teams and external suppliers
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies
The Candidate
Degree qualified in Accounting or a related discipline
2+ years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant or finance operations role
Solid exposure to accounts payable and cash reconciliations
CA/CPA qualification (or working toward)
Confident communicator with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
Well organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
A positive, proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
